Art in the Kitchen: Homemade Granola

Homemade granola recipe. Feel free to change flavors around to make it yours. It’s a very simple process and worth spending time making a big batch. I filled 2 (medium) mason jars.

Ingredients:
3 cups oats
I use rolled oats from @rivervalleycommunitygrains

1/2-1 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt

Dried cherries
Dried blueberries
Raisins
Chopped walnuts
Sliced almonds
Sunflower seeds
Chia seeds
Flax seeds

Roast oats and nuts on separate pans to give them space. Use parchment paper or reusable silicone mats underneath.

Set oven at 350F. Roast for 25-30 minutes. I set the alarm for 15 minutes to check and turn things around.

Combine oats and nuts in one pan. Add to mix the dried fruit, maple syrup, vanilla, pinch of salt, cinnamon, chia seeds, and flax. Mix well with a spatula to make sure everything is coated.

Put back in oven for 5-10 minutes.
Remove from oven and let it cool on a cooling rack.

Enjoy! 🌿
