While waiting for a bagel and coffee this morning before going to work, I overheard a woman order an “everything bagel with nothing on it”. I wasn’t quite awake yet, but my reaction was to laugh and think: WHAT?!?!
Is it possible to order a bagel with everything and nothing at the same time? Is this a conceptual act? Is she a conceptual eater?
I’m still laughing about it, but wonder if there is ever a right way of wanting everything and nothing at the same time?
Anyway, these are the existential thoughts of a very sleepy morning.
