It was still dark at 6am this morning when I finally realized it – the summer is over! I love to wake up with the sun. I’ve been living in New York for a long time, but I don’t think my Caribbean blood will ever adapt to the change of seasons. It wasn’t until I ran the first mile this morning that my hands felt warm.
There are two great events coming up this fall. The Continental Airlines Fifth Avenue Mile is a lot of fun. I ran it last year. I didn’t break the world record, but I ran it like a flash. My adrenaline level was so high, I could have continued running to my apartment in Brooklyn. I am excited to run it this year again!
The ING New York City Marathon is also a fun event. I admire these runners – I can’t imagine running 26.2 miles. I’m not a long distance runner, but I am planning to volunteer during the event this year.
After all this running, you may need a little Kathleen Lewis’ 100% Natural Stiff and Sore Muscle Massage Cream. It smells good and it works (I’m sure I will need it after running the Fifth Avenue Mile).
Have a restful and beautiful weekend!
